I just went on a talking dictionary and it said ‘bay-ble or babble’. so i don’t think it really matters.
I always thought it was babble, because that’s associated with talking. but I am British so it might be pronounced differently. like Americans say sem-eye final. we say sem-ee final.
i’m pretty sure it is bay-ble though. but open to correction

it’s pronounced bay-ble not babble. It’s from the story of the tower of babel and languages and stuff, and also the hitchhiker’s guide to the galaxy.

oh yea i use the google translation tool from time to time. sometimes i try to speak with my asians friends in their own language its pretty funny.
